Built both halves of a power-bank rental product — the multi-channel USB-C Power Delivery charging hardware (5- and 10-channel from a single 180 W supply) and the complete software system: vending kiosk, backend, frontend and rental app.

help The problem
A shared power-bank business needs two things built at once: a charger that keeps a rack of banks topped up and ready to rent, and the software that lets a customer find, rent, return and be billed for one. The hardware constraint is unusual — every channel draws from a single 180 W adapter, so the design has to budget and allocate power across ports rather than assume unlimited supply.
build What we built
- Multi-channel USB-C Power Delivery chargers built around Cypress (Infineon) PD controller ICs in 5-channel and 10-channel variants, including the PCB design.
- Intelligent power budgeting across channels — negotiating USB-C PD per port within a fixed shared 180 W envelope.
- A Flutter vending kiosk app: the on-station interface where customers rent and return power banks.
- Backend services for rentals, inventory, billing and state, plus a management/operations frontend.
- The customer-facing rental mobile app — find, rent, return.
